The Police Command Public Relations Officer (PRO), Abdu Jinjiri, confirm the incident. Jinjiri talk say, the accused wey been dey married to Hussaina Yusuf, wey be the 20 year old mother of the newborn baby, dem arrest am because him do dis kind wicked thing of to bury him own pikin alive…
Him add say the couple been marry three years ago and their marriage been end about few months back but dem been continue to see each other until the wife wey him don end things with, con get belle again… The Police Public Relations Officer explain say the incident happen on the first day of February when the accused been get the information say him ex-wife don born pikin. Jinjiri talk say, the accused been waka like Thief for night, enter the house where him ex-wife dey live, con carry the newborn baby. Him no stop there o! Anyways, the police for the area been get the report when the mother of the newborn baby and one good Samaritan con raise alarm the following day. Na there the police immediately enter into action. Na for this their action, dem con succeed to rescue the baby alive after him don spend two days for inside grave. Him explain say, dem take sharp-sharp carry the newborn baby go hospital for medical attention. Him also talk say, police still dey investigate the matter and dem go charge the accused go court immediately after the investigation.
