If we hear "Nollywood" we go start to think Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nouah, Ngozi Ezeonu, Pete Edochie and plenty others dem or na the last Nigerian film wey person watch, dey come person mind and no doubt say, so many people don redefine the careers wey boku for Nollywood based on the way wey dem dey do their job like say tomorrow no dey... Dat one no be d gist, as una kuku know say, inside Nollywood levels dey, but the level wey dey come with some kind humility and wetin oyibo dey call Meekness, na only few of Nollywood starz get am...

One of that kind person na our guest today and she be one of the recipients for the African Giant Strides Awards for inside the category of Actor of The Year... And dis wan na Black Giant Signatures dey organize am to encourage hardwork, discipline and promote people wey dem consider as African Giants for on top their different careers! Una no go hear am from my mouth but come rain come shine, some of us go always dey call her our Mommy for Nollywood. Make we meet her;

"My name na Kate Okoye. Den born me for Kaduna state and na for June 30th." Make we leave the "fine" wey she fine first enter the fact say pidgin sweet for Mommy Kate Okoye mouth no be lie... Lol! As she be one of the recipients for African Giant Strides Awards, curiosity con make us ask her say how far she don go for this her career and she talk say; "By the Grace of God i don go far, at least i don reach  12 years for this industry." Omo! Dis 12 years wey she talk so, no be beans or moi-moi o! Make we continue sha, Una go understand later... On top her educational background, she talk say; "I go my primary and secondary school for kaduna, then A B U zaria."

No wonder when you see her for film, you go know say dis woman sabi wetin she dey do well-well!

As e be say Mommy na very busy person wey dey always dey set of one film to another, we con dey try keep her interview short so that e no go cut short, if you understand wetin i dey talk... Na so we sharperly ask am about her achievements so far and she no waste time to talk say; 
"When dem talk of achievement, i believe sey i don achieve something becos no be where i dey far far years, i dey today. I dey move front everyday and i thank God for that. Na the achievement make una know sey somebody like me dey, i thank God for that."
And na true she talk o! That is why African Giant Strides Award don recognize am dis year say true true she don dey do well... Ok, on top Legacy wey she go like leave for the industry, she yarn say;

"Legacy wey i pray to leave na the type wey be sey if something dey somehow  you go hear people dey talk sey if to sey Kate Okoye dey here now this thing for no dey like this. If to sey Kate Okoye dey now we for don finish this now. I no wan make people dey take bad thing to remember me." Correct! No wonder she dey attach better professionalism, discipline and maturity for her work wey dey make Producers and Directors to like to dey work with her well-well....

When we ask her wether any project dey wey she dey do currently, she just give her killer smile wey dey show her Beauty well-Well and as e be say she no wan commot the cat from the bag as oyibo dey talk am, she just yarn say; "Na small small." Ok, we believe you Mommy and we dey wait for the project(s) make e reach our domot! As e be say she don tay for this industry we con ask her for her final advice especially to upcoming talents wey dey look up to her. Na so she con talk say;

"My advice to the up coming talents na make dem take am jeje. Make dem get wetin oyibo dey call "passion" for this industry, if not dem no go fit stay. Some think sey if dem come, sharp-sharp dem go turn to super stars and begin to dey pack money anyhow. Na lie! Learn the work first, like am well so that e go dey inside you first and enjoy the work. Respect na another thing, respect yourself, respect other people and you go see sey respect go dey follow you. No dey fight for role, your own na your own and dey always work with time." Hmmm dis wan deep ooo! Make person wey get ear, make im hear ooo! She no stop there o!
She still talk say; 

"My last talk na make our producers and directors dey try help us so dat this our work go dey easy for us atimes. Thank you!"
