The CTA been clap for media organizations across the country say dem do very good work as dem guard the democracy of Nigeria well-well especially for their minute by minute report, even up till now. While dem talk say, the security officials been perform below expectation during the electoral process.
The Organization talk say the presence of the security personnels been no make any difference because e no prevent the actions of thugs and hoodlums.
We been get reports of thugs wey show up for some polling units con dey harass and intimidate voters. This kind thing wey dem do, con dey scatter the peaceful course of the election process. We been hear case of Thugs shooting and killing voters for one ward inside Rivers state even of thug harassment of INEC officials for the same state.
More so, Lagos state, dem burn ballot box for one ward for okota and na after people don vote.
For Osun state also, we hear reports say thugs threaten electoral officers, and even electorates for Iba village. This one na just to mention few out of the many cases wey dey.
Because of these happenings wey happen for different places across the country, The CTA don call out to the security agencies for one statement wey dem describe as “unpurposeful”, dey accuse them say dem no do anything to stop these criminal actions during the election.
The organization been issue this statement on Sunday afternoon as dem been gather reports from their observers wey dem dispatch across the country.
