Man tortured to death for buying stolen goat in Bauchi

 Some suspected members of one vigilante group, Yan Kwamiti, don torture one 28 years old butcher, wey dem identify as Abdulrazak Hassan, till him die, because say,him buy stolen goat inside Wunti Dada area of Bauchi metropolis. The father of the man wey dem butcher, Sarkin Pawa Wada, talk say the incident been happen last Friday. As him been dey explain, him talk say, “Wetin happen be say, I been no dey for house, but one man wey dem dey call, Malam Abbas, wey be the leader of Yan kwamiti, talk say, dem been catch person with goat and dem carry am go their office. So, when them carry am go their office, my son been dey busy for him place of work.” Him talk say, na so Malam Abbas con send him boys make dem arrest him son just because they ask the man wey steal the goat whether him know Hassan and him talk say yes, him know am… “When dem bring (Hassan) to their office,” Wada continue say, “them con discuss. I no know wetin dem discuss sha, because I been no dey there, but I learn say them later release the suspected thief. Them con call the owner of the goat, con return the goat to am. “After that one, them con bring another issue of ram, something wey my pikin no know anything about o. Malam Abbas con give them fine of N10,000, while the other people been pay N7,000 and him collect am. Then they con kill my son; carry him money, him handsets, before dem con carry him dead body come my house but thank God say people been see them.” Him add say, “when I come, I quick-quick, rush go see the community leader of Wuntin Dada. I con inform am about the matter. Na there him con draw the attention of the Divisional Police Officer, GRA.” Wada talk say the DPO sharp-sharp con send him men make dem go find out wetin really happen.
