E get some plenty plenty things wey no suppose to happen for this life but when dem happen, toh you no go fit blame the people wey do am or wey e happen to… One Sharia Court For Dutse, Jigawa State don sentence one 32-year-old man,wey be Usman Amadu to three years imprisonment sake of say him steal mattress for Yalwawa quarters inside Dutse local government.
The Sharia court Judge, Ibrahim Yusuf Harbo, been find am guilty of two-count charge of burglary and stealing, wey dey contrary to section 193 and 148 of the penal code.
Harbo con sentence Usman Amadu to one year imprisonment with option of N20,000 fine for the first charge and two years imprisonment with option of N20,000 fine for the second charge.
The prosecutor tell the court say some of the stolen items include mattress, stoves, Iron, shoes, among others.
The accused, Usman Amadu talk say him steal the items because say him wan meet some of the demands of him fiancée.
Him explain say she no gree collect almost all the things wey him do before wedding, con tell am say make him provide only N30,000.
“She tell me say make I provide N30,000 only and I get N19,000. I no get other means wey I go take get the balance, that is why I con decide to go thief, so that I go fit make up the balance,” Na so him talk.
